Mississippi Sports Medicine employees raised funds for the Make-A-Wish Mississippi. The Wish Reveal was held yesterday at The Surgery Center. Franklin ‘Trey’ Wilbourn from Decatur, MS, had a rare brain tumor called Chordoma. His granted wish was for a shopping spree, so MSMOC employees raised $7,500 for Trey’s shopping trip and added extra goodies from the Braves MLB team since Trey is a huge baseball fan.
In attendance at the wish presentation were the MS Braves mascot, Sarah Thomas, the first woman officiate in the NFL & the 2020 Super Bowl, and Northwest Rankin High School, MRA, and Jackson Academy baseball teams.

Tune in to SuperTalk Mississippi tomorrow, April 29 at 5:30 pm to hear our surgeon Dr. Graham Calvert discuss Mississippi Sports Medicine’s partnership with @Make-A-Wish Mississippi and our recent wish reveal. We raised $7,500 to grant Franklin ‘Trey’ Wilbourn’s wish.
Today, Mississippi Sports Medicine held a Wish Reveal for Franklin ‘Trey’ Wilbourn in partnership with Make-A-Wish Mississippi. MSMOC employees started this campaign last month to honor a former employee of 25 years, Robin Alexander, who passed away a few months ago. She participated in Make-A-Wish fundraisers, and we felt this was a way to celebrate her memory.
MSMOC was able to raise $7,500 and a host of gifts including, a signed baseball by Atlanta Braves baseball player, Ronald Acuna, Jr. (Trey’s favorite baseball player), and a signed bat and baseball by Deion Sanders. We would like to thank Mississippi Braves, Atlanta Braves, Deion Sanders , Sarah Thomas, Northwest Rankin Baseball team, MRA baseball team, Jackson Academy baseball team & Get Yarded Brandon for their support in making Trey’s wish come true!
